Evans, a senior, rallied Tulsa from a 31-0 deficit to a 48-41 victory against Fresno State — the biggest comeback in school history. Evans passed for 4 touchdowns and ran 18 yards for the game-winner (above) in the second overtime. He completed 22 of 32 passes for 273 yards.
Ferguson, a junior, tied a Memphis school record with 7 touchdowns in a 77-3 victory against Bowling Green. Ferguson, who walked away from a scholarship at Tennessee, passed for 359 yards and 6 touchdowns, completing 20 of 27 throws. He also ran for a TD.
