About us... Lori's Country Cottage

In September 2014, Lori's Country Cottage moved to its current location at 250-130 Broadway Blvd. making it the largest dedicated quilt shop in Alberta. You will be delighted with the motivating displays, the wide variety of fabrics and products. Our Team is eager to hear about and provide assistance and inspiration for you to indulge your passion for quilting and successfully complete your projects. Meander and be inspired.

Lori’s Country Cottage was recognized by Better Homes and Garden's as one of the Top Ten Quilt Shops, featured in the May 2012 publication of Quilt Sampler Magazine.

The latest industry trends, products, and technologies are explored at Quilt Market each Fall and Spring and shared with customers through a variety of events. Learning is part of your entertainment with events that are educational, promotional and fun.

To encourage your first project or keep you up with the current trends, a new class schedule is published Fall and Winter. The classes are introduced in our class presentation, an opportunity for everyone to hear first hand from the instructors what will be offered.

Leave the planning to us. Travel with Lori's hosts on quilting cruises or visit to the Amish region of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Join our Spring Ladies' trip or a husband approved, Couples' Trip the alternate Fall. Other excursions have included a Christmas Market, river cruise and a Fall Colors North American East Coast cruise.

Owner, Lori Bosecke, opened Lori’s Country Cottage, in 1993 as a fabric store. The store featured dress making fabrics and a handful of quilting fabrics and tools. In the process of setting up her business, a sales representative predicted the store would evolve into a quilt shop before the year was up. He was right. After replacing the dress making fabric with quilting fabric and replenishing the quilting supplies, that's exactly what happened!

Lori’s interests include quilting, sewing, crafting, cooking, gardening, travelling, marketing and entertaining, but her biggest passion is her family, including her husband, daughter, son-in-law, son, and two granddaughters.

Lori's continues to inspire you with fabric whether you to visit the brick and mortar store or online.
