Provocateur BOUDOIr

You are gorgeous & simply beautiful! When we grow we matter and become wiser and comfortable in our own skin. We love ourselves. I'm so glad you're doing this for yourself. A Boudoir Session is something every woman should experience.

How to pose

ONE TO TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO YOUR SESSION
  • Make sure you get a manicure and pedicure. No chipped nails: Nude, Pink or Red would be best for your Nails. For Toenails: black, wine, mauve and royal colors are best.
  • Make sure your rings are clean.
  • Start moisturizing your face, hydrating and stretching a little every day. Some of the poses may be challenging to hold if you're stiff and haven't stretched (believe me I know!).
  • Go shopping if you want to incorporate lingerie into the shoot (You don't need to though). A few places to check are: Victoria's Secret, La Senza, Zara, Target, Amazon and Agent Provocateur. amazon.com.
  • Look for pieces that fit well, have different necklines and high waisted panties are a nice touch.
  • Thigh-high stockings should be comfortable with no elastic at the top. Elastic pinches the skin and will leave marks and puckering. If you purchase a pair, make sure it's one size larger. You can also wear a garter with them if you choose. Fishnet stockings are a great piece as well.
  • Body Suits always photograph beautifully! Make sure all of your pieces fit you well...not too small or binding and not too large or loose. It's important your breasts fit the cups of your bra and/or bodysuit.
  • If you plan to bring heels, make sure the bottoms are clean and free of dirt.
  • Tanning - No self tanning or spray tans at least 1 week prior to your session. I do not edit tan lines.
THE DAY BEFORE YOUR SESSION
  • Make sure you get a good night's sleep
  • Stay hydrated
  • Make sure you stretch throughout the day
  • Make sure you double check the items you plan to bring
  • Don't forget any statement jewelry pieces you want to wear (keep your jewelry to only statement pieces. Anything else will pull focus from you.)
THE MORNING OF YOUR SESSION
  • Make sure you eat a light breakfast. With makeup, hair and shooting, it could be up to 4 hours before you eat again.
  • I will have a light snack, water and a few beverages in case you need a little pick me up. Feel free to bring a snack if there's something specific you need or would like! **Also please let me know of any allergies**
  • No underarm deodorant - even if it says it's clear.
  • Wear loose clothing so you don't have any elastic marks from your bra, waistband, socks, etc.
  • Please arrive on time. It's important we get started on time.
  • Please don't bring anyone with you. These sessions are a great way for you to experience YOU time.

If you are doing Make up and Hair with one of our preferred vendors:

  • Make sure you come with a clean face - free of makeup.
  • Make sure you come with clean / dry hair.
