Running the 2017 Chicago Marathon

On October 7th, 2017, thousands will gather in The Windy City for the 40th Anniversary running of one of America's most beloved races. I will run 26 miles on behalf of thousands of children that are battling the evil of cancer. As a St. Jude Hero, I represent the thousands of individuals that restlessly search for a cure until no child dies of cancer.

Why Running

  • Running has altered my life.
  • It is perhaps both the most simplistic and most challenging way for me to raise funds.
  • I have had success running shorter distances, such as: 5k's (3 miles), 10k's (6 miles), and half marathon's (13 miles).
  • I have struggled running marathons. Really struggled!
  • I am believing with some extra motivation from you, I will be able to run a sub 4 hour marathon. Only about 1% of the American population ever attempt to run a marathon. Even smaller, only 1 out of every 4 marathoners run 26 miles in less than 4 hours.

The plan

2016 Chicago Marathon

It starts now Follow me as I begin to train specifically for the Chicago Marathon. My day -to- day training successes and struggles will be posted on Instagram. I could use all of your encouragement.

1. Follow my day-to-day journey as I train for the race in October. I need your encouragement going through the high's and low's of this challenge.

2. Donations are needed. Become part of this run by supporting the goal financially. Every cent donated goes directly to St Jude Hospital.

3. Run a mile with me. If you are interested, join me for a run. No need to feel intimidated. No matter your skill level, I would love to share the experience with you. Feel free to message me if you are interested.
