The Baker Blast September 4, 2021

This week students spent their time reconnecting with their classmates through fun and engaging activities. Mr. Harnish and his 7th Grade Historians enjoyed an outdoor Rock, Paper, Scissor Race to see which of the two teams can learn the names of their classmates while earning points for making it to the other team's side first after each correct response.

Orientation Week

This was a fantastic first week of re-engagement, where we welcomed our students, made connections, and celebrated the start of this school year. Our students practiced logging into Schoology, learned about our Baker Family A.O.K. Character Traits: Accountable Openminded, and Kind. Using our Character Traits, students identified ways that they can be A.O.K. and set goals for the year. By the end of the week each of our students had an opportunity to connect with their teachers and classmates and complete their first act of kindness, sharing a positive note.

School Pay

All students in the Troy School District will receive meals for free this year. We do offer additional snack items and beverages that students can purchase during breakfast and lunch. As a part of our mitigation strategy for contact free transactions, we are encouraging families to utilize our electronic transaction service called School Pay.

SchoolPay handles all parent, community, and staff payments from an easy-to-use, fully self-service interface. You can add money to your student's account using the link above. We use this system for most school transactions, including iPad insurance, field trip payments, etc.
