LAST WEEK: Mount Union's baseball team, ranked No. 30 in the nation, swept two Ohio Athletic Conference opponents last week. They defeated John Carroll 5-4 in the first as they rallied with four runs in the final three innings including a pair of runs in the bottom of the ninth to earn a 5-4 win and 12-5 in the second. They defeated Capital 1-0 and 7-6 in Alliance on Friday, April 14. The Purple Raiders have now won six-straight and nine of their last 10 games to stand 22-5 overall and first in the OAC with an 11-1 record.

LAST WEEK: Mount Union went 2-2 last week in Ohio Athletic Conference play. The Purple Raiders dropped two games to the John Carroll Blue Streaks as they lost the first 4-1 and took a 6-1 loss in the second game. Mount Union swept Capital in a close 2-1 win in the first game but with 12 hits in game two Mount Union got the 5-1 win. The Raiders are now 14-16 overall and 7-5 in the OAC.

Friday, April 21 - Sunday April 23: Women's Golf at Ohio Athletic Conference Championships at the River Greens Golf Course in Coshocton, Ohio: Preview

LAST WEEK: Mount Union's women's golf team placed second at the Cardinal Classic at North Star Golf Club Friday afternoon. The Purple Raiders carded a team score of 340 which was 15 strokes behind first place team, Otterbein who shot a 325. Junior Erica Mawhorr and junior Allison Pastor led Mount Union as they each tied for third with a score of 81.

LAST WEEK: The men's tennis team went 1-1 last week in Ohio Athletic Conference play. Mount Union suffered a 6-3 loss to OAC opponent John Carroll Wednesday afternoon at Mount Union's Whitehill Tennis Courts. The Raiders came back strong to put a stop to Capital University's three-game unbeaten streak with a 9-0 shutout win over the Crusaders Friday afternoon at Mount Union's Whitehill Tennis Courts. The win is the first time the Purple Raiders beat Capital since the 2011-12 season. Mount Union improves to 12-4 overall and 5-1 in the OAC

LAST WEEK: The Mount Union women's tennis team defeated Capital University in an Ohio Athletic Conference match Friday afternoon at Capital, 9-0. The Purple Raiders improve to 8-4 overall and 3-1 in conference play, while Capital falls to 1-8 this season and 0-4 in the OAC.

LAST WEEK (Womens Recap): Mount Union's women's 400 meter relay team ran the best time in NCAA Division III so far this season winning the event Saturday at the Walsh University Invitational.

LAST WEEK: The women's lacrosse team went 2-0 in Ohio Athletic Cconference play last week. Sophomore Ashley Bernardi scored a career-high five goals in the Mount Union women's lacrosse team's 19-2 win over Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Otterbein University Saturday night at Mount Union Stadium. In their OAC match up against Capital, an overtime goal by sophomore Alyssa Rydell led the Mount Union women's lacrosse team to defeat the Crusaders 10-9 Friday night. Mount Union improves to 8-3 overall and 4-1 in the OAC

LAST WEEK: Mount Union's men's lacrosse team was dropped by Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Capital University Friday afternoon at Mount Union Stadium, 18-3. Senior Chris Daley led the Purple Raiders with two goals. Mount Union is now 5-6 overall and 1-4 in the OAC.
