Spring 2019 News NCDHR

We are in the final months of our Deaf Weight Wise 2.0 research project! The last round of Deaf Weight Wise 2.0 appointments will be completed this summer. Thank you to all of our participants for their continued motivation! Congratulations to our Deaf Weight Wise 2.0 intervention counselors (pictured below) for their hard work during the past two years, and for helping our participants make healthy lifestyle choices! We plan to share results from this research project in a Town Hall Meeting series with communities, beginning this Fall.

Last summer, the NCDHR staff was busy traveling to different Deaf Communities in New York State to recruit and share information about the first-ever, state-wide Deaf Health Survey. We will be analyzing these results and will plan to start sharing this information with Deaf Communities this Spring/Summer!
