Limited government : power denied to congress. the government has only the powers that the constitution gives it. The government has limited power. The power is divided between the president,congress and the supreme court.

Separation of power : The president is the head of the armed forces, The Judicial power scroll extend to all causes in law and equity. The legislative branch, The judicial branch. Separation of power refers to the division of government responsibilities.

Federalism : The federal government and the state governments share power. Just as the constitution divides power among the three branches of the federal government. Federalism divided power between a national government and the state government.

Checks and Balances : The president has the power to make treaties with others nations. Under the system of check and balance all treaties must be proved by two thirds of the senate. Checks and Balance each branch of government has the power to limit the actions of the other two.

Representative Government : Article 1- section 2, The House of Representatives shall be composed of members chosen every second year by the people of several state and the electors in each state shall have the qualifications requisite for electors of the most numerous branch of the state legislature. A representative government , republic is one that is governed by elected officials who represent different groups of people
