Life In The Danish Military Aisha hansen
What do you think war is about? Have you ever seen a Danish soldier come home late at night looking worn out? Have you ever seen war ground? Have you ever held a pistol or a just a gun? Have you ever rode in a tank? Have you ever rode in a jet or a helicopter? Have you ever wore a military uniform? Have you ever seen war happen? The Danish military is not as bad as you think. It's actually nice. But behind all that niceness there is always a shadow of the dark...

Uniform
The Danish military has their own special uniform. So does all the other soldiers in the world. Usually you would wear a uniform that is dark green with stripe blodges of lime green and brown. This uniform will help the soldier camouflage in the forest. The brown helps blend with the tree’s, the twigs and the brown leaves. The lime green helps the soldier blend in with the long grass and green leaves. The dark green will help the soldier blend in with dark green leaves and the medium grass. However, if you are in the ROYAL Danish Army, and you are on patrol, you would be wearing a dark blue uniform. The uniform is very similar to the Foot Guards regiments of the British army. A scarlet or blue tunic, blue pants and a bear skin with the regiments and a cap badge. There is a sun and a royal coat of arms on the tunic. Together with the symbolic infantry sabre, which is part of the spoils from the first Schleswig War 1848-1850 and originally a French infantry sabre.

Techniques
At times military techniques can be seen as both negative and positive. The Danish army has a technique of Every Military has a unique protection plan. You probably will never see a military that has the exact same technique. Some are when the enemy catches a certain person that person has been training for years to get captured. When they do get captured of course the other team will threaten the soldier to tell them their plan. The soldier knows not to give the plan away. They know not to be tricked or fooled. The soldier will eventually tell a little bit about the plan. The rest is a lie. It must be the most unimportant piece of the plan. Soldiers also have to remember not to give too much away. If they do, then the other team will start putting things together and eventually figure out the whole strategy. The soldiers are trained to not be so talkative. Otherwise if the other team is listening they can hear everything and tell it to their chief. If they do this the chief will know everything and they will make a plans to invade.

Teamwork
The military is all about teamwork. In P.E class my teacher always says “ One person can not only be doing it. The whole team must do it!” In the Danish military usually the whole troop will like each other. There are often arguments. Sometimes there can be disagreements. The soldiers will never go out of camp without a partner. They certainly will never take on a position on their own. They will always have at least one soldier beside them. Sometimes they will fight in groups. Wherever you go you will never see a soldier fighting on their own. The Danish military is a strong army. Sometimes only if they work together. The saying “every man for himself!”, used in many other armies is never used in the Danish army. If one soldier sees something bad it will immediately run to their buddies and warn them to gather everything important and to take cover. If one soldier gets caught the others will come running. Usually there is no time to tell the chief. If that is the case, then the soldier will quickly assemble a small group. Usually the group has 3-4 soldiers. Even still the soldier will not go alone. The other soldier knows its friends are coming. So until the soldier comes back he waits patiently. One reason the soldiers need teamwork is the other army usually goes for the person who is alone. If you are in a group then you are much more powerful and strong. Another reason is if one of the soldiers get in trouble then the others can help that soldier. The last reason is that when one soldier sees something then they can call to the others and not have to explore it alone.
Important People In The Danish Millitary
There are many important people that are not in the Danish military. Many of them are not even Danish. Still here are some that are in the Danish military. One of these people is Otto.K.Lind.
Lind completed certifications. Then taken by the Gestapo to Arras, Where he was .subjected to extreme torture. He was later sent to Froslev prison camp. Where he spent the remaining of the war.
Another important person in the Danish military history was Peter Bartam Bartram is the Danish Chief of Defence. He was appointed on 20th March 2012. He succeeded Lieutenant general Bjorn Ingenmann Bisserup. Bartram is the military advisor to the Minister of Defence. He is responsible for the organisation, training operations of defence. Lind completed certifications.
Another important person to mention is King Christian x of Denmark. Many people have asked "Did King Christian X of Denmark wear a yellow star in support of the Danish Jews?"
No, He did not. According to popular legend the King chose to wear a yellow star in support of the Danish Jews during the German occupation of Denmark. In an other version,The Danish people decided to wear yellow stars Both of these particular stories are fictional. In fact, Unlike Jews in other countries under German occupation , jews in Denmark wore and identification mark such as a yellow star and the legend conveys an important historical truth is both the king and the majority of the Danish people stood their jewish citizens and were instrumental in saving almost all of the Jews from Nazi persecution death.
The Danish military is not large, but it also a very important part of the world's safety. Not just wars of our history, but also important peacekeeping practices. It may not be as large as the USA's military efforts however, it is equally as important.
