DEBUT SINGLE 'SEARCHING FOR GOLD'
Harmony-folk act Honeymoon Bridge release the first single ‘Searching for Gold’ from their debut album Volume IV on August 3rd, 2018. ‘Searching for Gold’ was inspired by a small ghost town in Western rural Victoria on Tjapwurrung country. The historic gold rush postal town is fenced by mountains that oversee the ebbs and flows of the people that pass through the region.
Cutting their teeth on The Everly Brothers and Simon & Garfunkel, Steph Brett and Helena Plazza describe themselves as the “veiled widows”. They sing haunting harmonies in memory of belated people and places of Australia to the accompaniment of celtic harp, acoustic guitar and the old-time mandolin stylings of Stephen E. Stanisic. Volume IV was recorded on four-track cassette in the barrel room of a vineyard on the fringe of the Grampians. It was recorded and mixed by Stephen E. Stanisic and mastered by Myles Mumford.
Known for their previous written work and performances in other bands (Sugar Fed Leopards, Empat Lima, Plazza, Rezzalp and Eddie Nuardo) Honeymoon Bridge is an exciting collaboration by experienced performers. The full album Volume IV will be released August 3rd on digital and limited edition cassette through Endless Railway and on Bandcamp.
