Wythnos Ymwybyddiaeth Iechyd Meddwl

Yr wythnos hon yw Wythnos Ymwybyddiaeth Iechyd Meddwl y Sefydliad Iechyd Meddwl (18 - 24 Mai), ac mae Undeb Bangor wedi bod yn sicrhau ein bod yn cydnabod yr wythnos bwysig hon.

Ni fu erioed yn bwysicach i bob un ohonom edrych ar ôl ein hiechyd meddwl a'n lles. O ystyried yr amgylchiadau, mae'n anoddach nag arfer gwneud hyn, er ein bod yn gweithio'n agos gyda'r Brifysgol i sicrhau bod gwasanaethau cymorth perthnasol yn dal i fod ar gael.

I goffáu’r wythnos, mae ein Swyddogion Sabothol i gyd wedi bod yn rhannu ‘top tip’ ar gyfer sut maen nhw wedi bod yn gofalu am eu hiechyd meddwl a’u lles eu hunain. Gallwch eu gweld trwy ein sianeli cyfryngau cymdeithasol.

Yn ogystal, mae ein prosiect gwirfoddoli sy'n galluogi gwirfoddolwyr hyfforddedig i gyfeillio a gweithio gyda myfyrwyr a allai fod angen cymorth ychwanegol, Connect @ Bangor, yn lansio sesiynau galw heibio lles wythnosol ar-lein, gyda Chynghorwyr Iechyd Meddwl y Brifysgol. Gall unrhyw fyfyriwr ymuno â nhw bob dydd Mercher, am 1pm, i gael sgwrs gyfeillgar. Mae tîm Connect @ Bangor eisiau i bob myfyriwr ym Mhrifysgol Bangor gael mynediad at gefnogaeth angenrheidiol, a pharhau i fod yn gysylltiedig ag eraill.

Mental Health Awareness Week

This week is the Mental Health Foundation’s Mental Health Awareness Week (18 – 24 May), and Undeb Bangor have been ensuring that we recognise this very important week.

It’s never been more important for all of us to look after our mental health and wellbeing. Given the circumstances, it is more difficult than normal to do this, although we are working closely with the University to ensure that relevant support services are still fully accessible.

To commemorate the week, our Sabbatical Officers have each been sharing a ‘top tip’ for how they’ve been looking after their own mental health and wellbeing. You can see them through our social media channels.

In addition, our volunteering project which enables trained volunteers to befriend and work with students who may require extra support, Connect@Bangor, is launching weekly, online wellbeing drop-in sessions, with the University’s Mental Health Advisors. Any student can join them every Wednesday, at 1pm, to have a friendly conversation. The Connect@Bangor team wants all Bangor University students to have access to necessary support, and to remain connected with others.

Mae’n bleser gennym gyhoeddi enillwyr y GDDAM eleni! Mae’r enillwyr y flwyddyn yma ymysg y staff gorau yma ym Mhrifysgol Bangor, wedi’i dewis allan o dros 500 enwebiad gan banel o fyfyrwyr! Hoffem gymryd y cyfle yma i longyfarch ac i ddiolch i bob aelod o Staff Prifysgol Bangor am eu gwaith ardderchog trwy gydol y flwyddyn, ac am gamu i her COVID-19.

Dywedodd Harry Riley, IL am Addysg y flwyddyn Academaidd 2019-20, y chanlynol am y GDDAM eleni: “Er na chawsom gynnal y noson wobrwyo’r Gwobrau Dysgu Dan Arweiniad Myfyrwyr eleni, credwn ei bod yn bwysig gwobrwyo ein haelodau staff eithriadol. Llongyfarchiadau i bob aelod staff cafodd eu henwebu, cyrhaeddodd y rhestrau byr, ac enillwyr y gwobrau, roedd yn wych gweld cynifer o staff wedi’i henwebu ac yn cael eu cydnabod eleni!”

We’re so pleased to have been able to announce the winners of this year’s SLTAs! This year’s winners represent the best of our staff here at Bangor University, selected by a panel of students from a pool of over 500 nominations! We’d also like to take this opportunity to congratulate and thank every member of Bangor University’s staff for their exceptional work throughout this year, and for rising to the challenges presented by COVID-19.

Harry Riley, VP for Education for the 2019-20 Academic Year, had the following to say about this years' SLTAs: "Despite not being able to have the usual Student Led Teaching Awards dinner, we still thought it was important to reward our exceptional members of staff. Well done to all staff who were nominated, shortlisted and ended up winning the awards, it was great to see so many staff nominated and recognised this year!"
