I choose this picture for religious because the divided parts of Africa wanted to teach the other colonies christianity. The other motive I chose is economic because Africa was divided in by different Europeans who all wanted total control of Africa but only got parts of Africa to control. When the Europeans came in to take control of different parts of Africa they made the African Americans slaves. The man in the next picture he is standing on Africa like he has all control of it. That is basically what the Europeans did. They came in and took control. Some of the Europeans were trying to teach Christianity to one of the independent parts of Africa. Here is a picture of an effect on economic. The Europeans used the African Americans to make products for the Europeans to sell to gain money.
