The Life of a Student Leader Presented by UWSU

Student Leader Residential

In September this year around 90 student leaders arrived in West Sussex for 3 days of presentations, workshops and.. fun!

Training included leadership, communication skills, campaigning and individual sessions for sports, societies, student media and student staff.

Friends of Arriving New Students (FANS)

FANS, as part of the Great Start Project, gave a personal welcome and induction to new arriving students, helping then feel at ease with their new surroundings and introducing them to fellow students on their course.

Each FAN looks after an average of 30 students. With over 140 FANS, that's roughly 4200 new students who receive a personal welcome and new friendship circles.
