Geography

The soil was good for growing things to make bread. But the soil in the New England was to rocky.

The Middle has good ports for shipping the natural resources like iron, trees, and fish.

The winters were not too cold and crops don't freeze. Also the cold kills the diseases that the southern colonies have.

The middle colonies had lots of trees and forest.

Reasons for founding

The middle colonies were founded for freedom of religion, to make money, and better trade routes for England
