Meet the princesses & princes.

Erica Anderson - Ensemble

Erica is thrilled to be performing with the Ohio Shakespeare Festival. She was last seen performing in the Cleveland Browns' 2022 Halloween Halftime show. She also had the opportunity to dance in the Cleveland Bridal Expo Promo Video for the lovely Jailyn Harris. Erica is a Certified Xpert Pole dance instructor and teaches Choreography, Floorwork, Pole Dancing and Beginners Pole Confidence. She has performed in showcases at Akron Musica and Alchemy Pole Fitness. She is a paralegal as well, and graduated from Cleveland State University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. During her free time, she spends time with her two beautiful daughters. Erica enjoys learning new things, performing, dancing, traveling, creating art, and exploring the world. She is very thankful for God, her family, and friends.

Tom Barnes - King Maximillian

Tom has been a prolific sound designer and actor in the Akron/Canton area, including productions at Weathervane Community Playhouse, The Canton Players Guild, The Bang and the Clatter Theater and Ohio Shakespeare Festival. Tom has won numerous awards for his body of work, including the Marquee and Chanticleer Awards for his portrayal of Coalhouse Walker in the Weathervane Community Playhouse production of Ragtime. Other notable achievements include both acting and sound design awards at ActFest for A Lesson Before Dying, also at Weathervane. He was last seen in OSF productions of Dracula and Cinderella. He is the resident sound designer at None Too Fragile Theater. In his spare time Tom enjoys photography, mostly snapping candid photos of his spoiled rotten Dalmatian, Ella.

Brianna DeRosa Brown - Ensemble, Female Understudy

Brianna is new to the cast of Cinderella, but this will be her fourth production working with Ohio Shakespeare Festival. She previously appeared in The Rocky Horror Show (Ensemble), Maid Marion: An Adventure… (Katherine), and Treasure Island: An Adventure… (Pirate). Other professional credits include Lead Vocalist for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Singer/Dancer for Cedar Point Live Entertainment, Shrek the Musical (Wicked Witch/Ensemble), Fiddler on the Roof (Grandma Tzeitel), and Legally Blonde (Serena). Nadia Brown - Ensemble

Nadia is a fifth grader, and this is her very first official performance. She is excited to have the opportunity to be on stage. She is an exceptional artist in every way, drawing anything and everything. Nadia has had the pleasure of joining the cast of Aladdin at theater camp this summer at Cassidy, and from there she has found a love for theater. Her activities include gymnastics, watching YouTube, singing and drawing. She is very inquisitive and has a heart for God. Nadia is forever grateful to the cast of Cinderella for giving her such a great opportunity and she hopes you will enjoy the show as much as she does.

Tess Burgler - Director, Associate Artistic Director

Tess is thankful for the opportunity to return to this show. Some recent Ohio Shakes roles include: Hamlet, Rosalind (As You Like It), d’Artagnan (The Three Musketeers: An Adventure, with Music), Saint Joan, Helena (Midsummer and All’s Well…) Juliet, Viola (Twelfth Night), and Martha Jefferson (1776). She established and created the Greenshow tradition at Ohio Shakes and now oversees as the Greenshow Artistic Director. She has directed She Kills Monsters, A Midsummer Night's Dream (2021), and The Complete Works...Abridged, and Cinderella for Ohio Shakes in seasons past. She spends her working days as Associate Artistic Director for the theatre. But absolutely nothing is better than the roles of Mama to baby Zelda Jehanne and wife to best friendo and fight partner Ryan.

Stephanie Cargill - Queen Constantina

Stephanie is delighted to make her debut with the Ohio Shakespeare Festival in Cinderella, and is thrilled to be working alongside a group of such talented actors. Stephanie has been seen in theaters throughout northeast Ohio, most recently as Masha in Vanya and Sonio and Masha and Spike at Avenue Arts in Canton. Other notable roles include Mother in Ragtime (with King, Tom Barnes), Diana in Next to Normal, The Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd, Alice Russell in Gore Vidal’s The Best Man, and Vivian Bearing in Wit. By day, Stephanie works at Stark Library (as Communications Director, NOT as Marian the Librarian). Her favorite two roles, by far, are Nana of three beautiful grandchildren and Wife of one practically perfect husband.

Nancy Cates+ - Producing Artistic Director

Nancy is one of Ohio Shakespeare Festival’s two founding Producing Artistic Directors. Thrilled to be able to present the Festival’s 20th Anniversary Season, she welcomes back all audiences, artists and colleagues to the Henry C. Bishop stage after such a long act break. Nancy has been a professional director starting with her first, treasured, paying show, for which she was hired when President Carter was in office. She has been a producer for nearly as long, ever since her Associate Producer role in a small southern dinner theatre, where the job description was “someone actually willing to associate with the producer.” Nancy has directed and produced hundreds of shows nationally, including Shakespeare in Love, The Three Musketeers: An Adventure, with Music, Saint Joan, and Romeo and Juliet here at Ohio Shakes. For nine years during her tenure here at the Festival, she was also Artistic Director at Coach House Theatre, where the terms “fun” and “exhaustion” were both defined constantly. Nancy holds a BA with High Honors from the University of Virginia, is a fan of Noel Coward, and the proud wife and mother (respectively) of Actor-Managers Terry and Tess Burgler, and Nana of honorary company member, Zelda Zarecki.

John Chambers - Guitar

After graduating from Perry High School in 1976, Mr. Chambers received a Bachelors Degree in Music Education from Kent State University in 1980. After teaching as an assistant band director at Perry, he taught at Northwestern High School in Wayne County. John earned a Masters Degree from Vandercook College of Music in Chicago, Illinois in 1987. He retired from Lake Local Schools in 2013 after completing 32 years of teaching. John is currently employed by Perry Local Schools where he is on the technology support team.

George E. Dean - Guitar

George E. Dean IV, M.Ed is currently the music teacher/ guitar director in the Canton City School District McKinley High School and Adjunct faculty at Kent State University Stark Campus . He teaches guitar and guitar ensemble, Studio Ensemble and Chamber Ensemble. George is a co-founder of the Arts Academy in Canton City Schools and also co-director of Canton Guitar Society. George studied Jazz Guitar Performance and Music Education receiving his B.A. in music from the University of Akron and a Masters degree in Education from Ashland University. George is a Japan Fulbright Memorial Scholar (2007); George is an active professional guitarist in Stark and Summit county.

Jenni DeLuca - Stage Manager

Jenni is so very happy to return for more magic with Ohio Shakes! Most recently, she spent her summer under the stars serving as Stage Manager for OSF's production of Taming of the Shrew. Other backstage credits with this lovely company include Miss Holmes, All My Sons, and last year's Cinderella. Jenni would like to thank her friends, family, and partner Doug for their endless support. And of course, the utmost gratitude to OSF and this incredible cast and crew for bringing Cinderella back to the stage.

Jackie DiFrangia - Ensemble

Jackie is so thankful to be back at OSF for Cinderella! Jackie is an actor and stage manager, with favorite shows including The Spitfire Grill (Percy Talbott), The Marvelous Wonderettes (Betty Jean), and If/Then (Elena). As a stage manager and assistant stage manager, she has enjoyed working at theaters such as Lakeland, Dobama, and Beck Center for the Arts. Thanks to everyone who has made this show a huge success!

Graceyn Dowd - Ensemble

Graceyn Dowd is thrilled to be back with Ohio Shakespeare Festival! This summer, Graceyn made her OSF debut in Taming of the Shrew. New to Cleveland, she previously acted in numerous productions in her hometown of Chicago. While living there, she trained with Hubbard Street Dance and now continues to study both dance and classical voice. Recent credits include Lady Anne (King Richard III) and Sibella (A Gentleman’s Guide...). Many thanks to Mom and Dad for their endless support. @graceyndowd

John Ebner - Music Director

John has worked extensively as a keyboardist, musical director and accompanist for the Carousel Dinner Theatre, Coach House Theatre, Ohio Shakespeare Festival, Players Guild of Canton, Weathervane Playhouse, Western Reserve Playhouse, and the Voices of Canton. He continues to collaborate with schools in Stark and Summit Counties after retiring from teaching music for 33 years. His tenure with Ohio Shakespeare began with Oh, Coward! in 2003. John has had great opportunities over the years including working with Arthur Fiedler, Paul Williams, performing at the Cleveland House of Blues, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He has also done commercial work for the Cleveland Cavaliers and served as a consultant for the Mattlin-Hyde Piano Company. He has a Master of Music Degree in Music from the University of Akron and is a member of the Ohio Music Education Association and a Life Member of the American Federation of Musicians. He is thrilled to work with this outstanding group of producers, directors, actors, musicians, and crew. He dedicates this performance to his granddaughters, Anna, and Natalie.

Jailyn Sherell Harris - Lead Dancer, Choreographer

Jailyn Sherell Harris is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and a graduate of Bowling Green State University, where she received her BAC in theater, with a minor in dance. As a performer, she has had the opportunity to perform in theatres across Northeast Ohio and beyond with credits from Talespinner Children’s Theatre, Cassidy Theatre, Karamu House, Lakeland Civic Theatre, the Players Guild Theatre and the A.R.T. in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Recently she appeared in a workshop production of the new musical On the Line at Rubber City Theatre, and in the world premiere of Bluesman: Never Get out of These Blues Alive. Ms. Harris has had the opportunity to serve as a director and choreographer for a few schools around Northeast Ohio. She has also served as a teaching artist with Dancing Classrooms of Northeast Ohio and the Center for Inspired Learning. Jailyn has a strong dance background and extensive experience in Jazz, Hip Hop and Musical Theatre. She is an inaugural member of MadJax Dance Company. Jailyn has choreographed for theatres and organizations across the northeast Ohio area and beyond, including the Sitar Arts Center in Washington, DC. This is her second time working with Ohio Shakespeare Festival and she is excited to be a part of this amazing cast and crew!

Madelyn Hayes - Fairy Godmother

Madelyn Is very excited for a second chance at this magical show! This will be Madelyn's second musical with OSF and she is delighted to be returning to the stage. She is a Cleveland native, singer, actor and musician. You may remember her as Magenta (The Rocky Horror Show), the voice of Lady Molly in Ohio Shakespeare Festival's Quarantine Radio plays (Lady Molly)...during the year that shall not be named...and also Mistress Overdone (Measure for Measure), and many a Greenshow. Madelyn would like to thank her Mom and friends who have been so supportive though everything. Enjoy and Huzzah!

TJ Hayes - Ensemble

TJ is thrilled to be making his on-stage debut at Ohio Shakes! TJ was last seen at OSF in 2019 working backstage for Dracula and Frankenstein in rep. Recent credits include works with Avenue Arts, Mapleside Farms, Western Reserve Playhouse, The Access Theatre Project, and Chagrin Arts. TJ does theatre and film, both on stage and off, and loves every bit of it! TJ recently wrote his first play, in tribute to his grandparents. TJ is an alumnus of Cleveland State University’s Dept of Theatre and Dance, Class of 2017 where he participated in many shows. TJ thanks his mom and dad, for everything.

Samus Haddad - Lionel

Samus is thrilled to return to the OSF stage for this magical production. An opera singer by trade, he has performed throughout the United States and Europe singing myriad roles that include Marcello (La Bohème), Sharpless (Madama Butterfly), Zurga (Les Pêcheurs de Perles), and the title role of Don Giovanni. But his favorite role this winter will be playing adopted uncle to Tess and Ryan's beautiful nugget Zelda.

Marty LaConte - Puppets and Specialty Props

Her creative specialty props have been seen in numerous OSF shows including The Tempest, King Charles III, Macbeth, She Kills Monsters, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and most recently in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. She loved the challenge of creating life-sized puppets of mice that become horses and the cat & dove who become coachmen for Cinderella. Among her critically acclaimed costume designs are those for Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare in Love, Camelot and The Lion in Winter. Marty is a retired RN who resides in Green with her dear husband.

Jessica Lauren - Ensemble

Jessica is so excited to be working with OSF again in this wonderful production! She is so very happy to have this opportunity to work with such talented people, and getting to share the experience with her fiancé, David Monter. Jessica has been playing the violin and singing since she was 3 years old, and she is forever grateful to her grandma for supporting her in these endeavors from the very start. She has a bachelor’s degree in violin performance, and has recently gone back to school to obtain a post-baccalaureate degree in music therapy. Jessica has many loves including all types of music, running, ice cream, and collecting life’s greatest moments with her soulmate.

Lara Mielcarek* - Stepmother

A company member since 2006, Lara is grateful to return to the Henry C. Bishop stage for this spellbinding show once more. In the past year, she’s performed in shows at Dobama Theatre (Hurricane Diane) and the Beck Center for the Arts (Meteor Shower). Her most cherished past works come from the time she’s been at OSF, which has given her the opportunity to play over a dozen of Shakespeare’s leading ladies. Up next, she’ll be directing Dancing at Lughnasa at Case Western Reserve. Lara lives in Lakewood with her cherished hubby Michael, their fur family, and teaches at St. Ignatius High School.

Lysander Mills - Ensemble

Lysander is very excited to be returning with the Ohio Shakespeare Festival! Lysander's recent works are The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Guitarist/Ensemble), A Joyful Blend (composer/lyricist), Clue (Wadsworth), Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui (Arturo Ui), A Christmas Carol (Bob Cratchit), and King Richard III (King Edward). When he's not acting, he's playing music with his band Sander Mander and The Banana Hammer. He would like to dedicate his performance to his mom, his dad, his nonna, and Borko (his dog).

David Monter - Ensemble

David is extremely delighted to return to Cinderella! He was last seen roaming the hollow as Pip in OSF’s production of The Legend Of Sleepy Hollow. Other recent credits include La Cage Aux Folles, OSF’s Greenshow, and Lovely Jackson. As a full time social worker and sometimes actor, David works tirelessly to reduce the stigma of addiction and is a vocal advocate for social justice for everyone. He is an avid runner, an accomplished fencer and a noted hamburger enthusiast. When not performing or trying to make the world a better place, he spends time with the love of his life, Jessica, without whose support, none of this would be possible.

Maya Nicholson - Cinderella

Maya Nicholson, after being formally trained at Kent State University, became a company member at The Ohio Shakespeare Theatre as well as The Magical Theatre Company. She recently completed the touring Kid Scripts educational outreach initiative with Magical. Maya is also a core member of the newly formed Akron Black Artist Guild. Maya is an actor, director, playwright, grant writer, educator, organizer and activist. Fortunately, her voiceover work has also really been highlighted throughout 2020 and she intends to explore that work much more within the coming years. She recently partnered with The Millennial Theatre Project devising a new work that is both a community collective and performance protest, Say It Loud! This piece focused on equality and inclusivity in Akron, Ohio. She is currently partnered with The Chameleon Village Project as a Co-creator and actor in HOME, a piece that takes a deep dive into racialized trauma and how to begin the healing within your body. She is also collaborating with a group of black artists to devise a new piece which bring together multiple art disciplines about social justice for marginalized POC, inCOPnegro. She is a teaching artist and Site Coordinator for The Cleveland Public Theatre and prides herself in her continued study of Lessac Kinesensic training, improvisation, and character development. She truly can't wait to see what's in store next, whether in the classroom, on set, or on stage.

John Peters - House Manager, Ensemble

John is as excited as ever to be back home at Greystone Hall! When not managing the Front of House, John is most often found treading the boards as an actor. Ohio Shakespeare Festival credits include: A Midsummer Night's Dream (Philostrate), Hamlet (English Ambassador), Dracula: Laboratory Performance (Arthur Holmwood) and Romeo and Juliet (Apothecary). John was also a chairperson and organizer of the 2018 StageFest festival and was the House Manager for Cleveland Musical Theatre's world premiere of the revised musical Jane Eyre. John is currently enrolled in Tri-C's Associate of Arts program with an eye for achieving his Bachelor's degree in Non-Profit Administration.

Joe Pine - Prince Christopher

Joe is thrilled to return to Cinderella. Joe has been a company member for over 12 years, not only acting but also writing four original plays that have been produced on this stage: The Three Musketeers..., Dracula, Frankenstein, and most recently The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Favorite roles include Chris (All my Sons), Jonathan (Dracula), Dickinson (1776), Lancelot (Camelot), William (King Charles III), Athos (The Three Musketeers...), Feste (Twelfth Night), and Hotspur (King Henry IV, Part 1). Joe also has worked recently for Ensemble and Dobama theaters in Cleveland and directs at Copley High School. When not there, he loves sharing his other passion for fitness at his day job, Orangetheory Fitness in Akron. So much love to wife, costar, and co-writer Sarah, who keeps his head above water.

Sarah Pine - Ensemble

Sarah has been a company member with the Ohio Shakespeare Festival for eight years. Previous roles include Eleanor (...Sleepy Hollow) Sue Bayliss (All My Sons), Mina (Dracula), Vera (She Kills Monsters), Benvolio (Romeo and Juliet), and Celia (As You Like It). Sarah has written for the Ohio Shakes stage, including Maid Marion…, and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and Frankenstein (co-written with Joe Pine). She also works locally as a director, including productions of Frankenstein (Ohio Shakes, with Joe Pine), The Bridges of Madison County (Western Reserve Playhouse), The Hollow (Brecksville Little Theatre), and the Ohio Shakes Greenshow, among others. She is ever thankful for her family and friends for their support. All the moods and tenses.

Jayson Reppart - Ensemble

Jayson is thrilled to be back with this group of amazing individuals at OSF performing this magical show. Jayson is a graduate of Kent State University where we earned his BFA in Musical Theatre. Other favorite theatre credits include Isaachar/Baker in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Ensemble/Villain in It's a Bird, It's a Plane, It's Superman, The Baker in Into the Woods, and Bud Frump in How To Succeed... Love to his parents, family, friends, and Georgie.

Mick Shaull - Drums

Mick was a music director for the Lake Local School District in Stark county, Ohio. He retired in 2010 after thirty-two years of teaching. Mich directed the jazz ensemble and all percussion studies. He also directed various musical productions during his tenure at Lake. Mick has been a drummer since high school and has performed in single concerts with Bob Hope, Ethel Merman, Andy Williams, and Al Martino, as well as many stage productions such as Crazy For You, The Producers, Little Shop of Horrors, The Full Monty, Jesus Christ Superstar, Hairspray, Into the Woods, and many more from high schools to professional stages across northeast Ohio. Mick has composed and arranged various pieces for percussion ensemble and jazz band. He is published by PDQMUSIC.com. He has also arranged and composed music for the film Collecting Sargent Dan. Mick has been a percussion adjudicator for the Ohio Music Education Association and he is a member of The International Association of Jazz Educators.

Kim Simbeck - Ensemble

Kim is excited to return for Cinderella 2.0. When not onstage with OSF, Kim can be found backstage, in the booth, selling merch and tickets, or driving the tram. When not in a theatre, Kim can be found in an Orangetheory class, in the car perfecting their one-voice Broadway show, or learning a random new skill. Kim would like to thank the cast, crew, and OSF for being the best home-away-from-home and dedicates this performance to their Mom, who is always with them.

Shley Snider - Backstage Crew

Shley Snider has an MFA in Performance from the University of Southern Mississippi. She has graced the OSF stage as Maid Marion in Maid Marion: An Adventure, with Music, as lots of unfortunate monsters in She Kills Monsters, and as Miss Prism in The Importance of Being Earnest. She is delighted to be supporting incredible artists in her first OSF backstage role. Natalie Steen - Grace, Set Designer, Production Manager

Natalie is humbled to have found a home here at Ohio Shakes and is excited to step into her new position as a full time Actor-Manager! She is a recent Baldwin Wallace University graduate with her BFA in Acting. You may have seen her being a nasty Stepsister in Cinderella last year or under the stars as Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream or Hortensio in The Taming of the Shrew with Ohio Shakes, in Uncle Vanya as Yelena or The Last Days of Judas Iscariot as the Lawyer Cunningham at Baldwin Wallace, or in Shrek the Musical as Fiona at Beck Center. She is so honored to be creating with this amazing collection of humans whom she so admires. Hannah Storch - Joy

Hannah is thrilled to return to Ohio Shakespeare Festival for Cinderella 2.0! She was last seen with Ohio Shakes in The Taming of the Shrew as Petruchio’s favorite servant, Peter. Hannah has a B.A in theatre from Kent State University. She has toured the country with National Theatre for Children out of Minneapolis, MN and Bright Star Touring Company out of Asheville, NC. She has also worked several seasons with the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire in Manheim, PA. Favorite credits in Cleveland include Clybourne Park (Betsy/Lindsey) at Ensemble Theatre, Henry V (Fluellen) at Cleveland Shakespeare Festival and Proof (Claire) at Tri-C Creative Arts. Hannah would like to thank her family, her Chickens and BP for their love and support. Thank you for supporting live, local theatre and artists!

Wittman Sullivan - Ensemble

Wittman is an actor, technician, and activist from Akron. He is currently 15 and a freshman at Firestone High School. He has previously worked on and off-stage at theatres including Weathervane and Rubber City Theatre, and schools Miller South and Firestone. Wittman is also a Malik For Mayor campaign member and has volunteered for the DNC for Summit County. With that, he is a member of Firestone’s Platform Firestone, Firestone Focus Newspaper, Pre I.B, ASA for Theatre, and the Firestone Leadership Cabinet. At Miller South, Wittman was a member of the Leadership Team and President of the Student Council. Wittman is proud to make his onstage premiere at Ohio Shakespeare Festival in Cinderella. Buddy Taylor - Lighting & Sound Designer, Head of Design

Buddy has been with Ohio Shakes since 2003, and it continues to give him enjoyment and new challenges. During the year that shall not be referenced, he took on recording and editing duties for the Ohio Shakes Quarantine Radio Program. Some of his favorite Ohio Shakes productions (so far) are The Rocky Horror Show, She Kills Monsters, and King Richard III. Buddy is also working on some museum installation projects in Texas. In his free time, he (and several other familiar OSF actors) can often be found playing D&D, some of which is live-streamed on Twitch with Lawful Stupid RPG. Kelsey Tomlinson - Costume Designer

A professional Costume Designer, she currently serves as one of two Resident Costume Designers for Ohio Shakespeare Festival, and designs on a freelance basis throughout Northeast Ohio. Favorites include A Little Night Music (Lakeland), The Three Musketeers... and She Kills Monsters (Ohio Shakes). Follow her work by searching #KLuelleCreative. Victoria Wamsley - Costume Assistant, Wardrobe Crew

Victoria became a part of the Ohio Shakes family as a Costume Assistant for Cinderella in 2021 and is thrilled to be back in the wardrobe for the play’s revival in 2022. She is a 2021 graduate of Mary Baldwin University’s Shakespeare and Performance MLitt Program. While in graduate school, she wore many hats: dramaturge, stage manager, costumer, props master, and director. In the summer of 2021, she stage-managed Timon of Athens, directed by Jeff Miller of The Baltimore Shakespeare Factory at Mary Baldwin’s Wharf before returning to Ohio. She has worked on OSF’s The Importance of Being Earnest, The Taming of the Shrew, and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.

Ryan Zarecki - Ensemble/Male Understudy, Dance Captain, Properties Master

Ryan loves his job as a resident Actor/Manager for the Ohio Shakespeare Festival. He's played Bottom, Orlando, Porthos, Mercutio, Quincy (Dracula), Robin Hood, Thomas Jefferson, and Roy (Lone Star). His fight production company [They Fight], with partner Tess Burgler, works to bring safe, affordable, and awesome stage violence to Northeast Ohio stages. Ryan is a Bowling Green State University graduate, a member of the Society of American Fight Directors, and he loves his pups, kittehs, and baby Zelda.
