The Gardening Club meets early in the morning every Tuesday. The last week of September, the club started their Fall planting.
32 students from 4th-, 5th-, and 6th-grades and 4 teachers (Mrs. Cortez, Ms. Chefalo, Mrs. Schutt, and Mrs. Cartlidge) makeup this year's club roster.
This season's planting included Corn, Beans, Broccoli, Spinach, Cauliflower, Lavender, Radishes and Beets.
Our hands get dirty and we work real hard. But most of all, we all have fun!
Our crops will be ready for harvesting just before November break. Salads and vegetable plates will definitely be on the menu...yummmmmmm!!!!
In the winter, we will start preparing our garden for the planting for a spring harvest. We are not sure what we will plant yet, but we know it will be good eating when we harvest.
So, if you are ever in the neighborhood, stop by and take a stroll through our gardens and see how are garden grew.
