Why are magnets used so often when making inventions?

Magnets are used so often because they can be used for so many things. They are used for so many things because they have a magnetic field. Some things they are used for are:

  • They can be used to power computers.
  • They can be used to make tight seals.
  • They can be used to power stereos.
  • They can be used to store data in computers.
  • They can be used to scan MRI.

What are the pros of using magnets?

Some of the pros are:

  • No need to have a plug
  • Easily affordable
  • Easy to carry and lightweight
  • Sticks to things vertically
  • Strong

What are the cons of using magnets?

Some of the cons of using magnets for inventions are:

  • Can't control magnetic field size
  • Can't control magnetic particles that are attracted to the North or South pole
  • Don't always work for certain types of metal
  • Choking hazard for young children
Magnetic Sock:

The magnetic sock is great to use if you're picky about where your sock is placed.

How does this work?

The magnetic sock has magnetic thread threaded throughout it. This makes moving the sock with magnets easy and fun to do. When the sock goes to your anticipated area, all you have to do is remove the magnet from the uncomfortable area with the magnetic wand and voila your sock is now in a comfortable position.

Bed Maker:

The bed maker is perfect for those who don't like making their bed in the morning.

How does this work?

The bed maker has eight main magnets. The first four magnets are in the four corners of the sheets. The other four magnets are in the four corners of the mattress. There is one in the sheet and the other one below it. The top and bottom magnet of each corner should be parallel to each other (this will make the bed look nicer). This way when you wake up just put your sheet near the corner of the bed and it will snap in place.

Plat'n Magnet:

The Plat'n Magnet is wonderful for those who want to get plates that are out of reach.

How does this work?

The dish will have one magnet strip around the perimeter. The invention will also come with one long magnetic arm. The arm will be able to carry four to eight dishes. Once you are done with your meal you can take the arm and go around the table. The arm will automatically collect the dishes and soon enough you will be done with this tedious chore.
