Marco Polo sparked the renaissance by making it reopening it and making it safer. I know this because in the text the author states “ They once made the roads safer for travelers and traders” (Holt 299). This shows that Marco Polo help made it safer for people who went through the Silk Road. In conclusion Marco Polo sparked the renaissance by making it better and safer.

RENAISSANCE writing (William Shakespeare)
William Shakespeare's writing reflected the ideas of humanism because he would write in vernacular and all kinds of people could go and watch his plays. In the text the author states "Ever since, people have enjoyed the beauty of Shakespeare language and his understanding of humanity" (Holt 317). This shows that Shakespeare didn't care if you were poor or rich you were able to go and watch his plays. Shakespeare's writing attracted a lot of audience because everybody could understand it. In the text the author also states "Throught these translations, their Renaissance spirit lives on"(Holt 317). This shows that people were able to understand his plays and were able to enjoy it. In conclusion William Shakespeare's writing reflected the ideas of humanism because people understood him.
