Water oil flame By payton wheeler

This chapter is all about resilience. It has a lot of good stories. The best one i think is about the inmate George who is baptized by Father G but then finds out his brother Cisco has just been killed. Does George give up? No, he continues. He won't give up he is resilient. That is what the chapter of water oil flame is about.

God I guess

In this chapter Father G is discussing the underlying mission of his non-profit organization Homeboy Industries to help local homies and homegirls who have decided to change their lives for the better. Boyle stresses that only those who sincerely want help will succeed. My favorite story in this is the Cesar story it is about a man fresh out of prison that Father G buys cloths for. Cesar calls G in the middle of the night and says he wants to be his son.

What is compassion, compassion is sympathetic pity and concern for the sufferings or misfortunes of others. Father G is the definition of compassion. But Betito has my favorite story in this chapter. Betito has a very sad story and it speaks to people. It is about a child who is at the wrong place at the wrong time and he was shot clarified paralyzed then announced dead after he gets to the hospital. Father G has a deep compassion for him in this sense.
