Ariyana was introduced to bellydance in 2003. In 2010, she began studying bellydance intensively in Tokyo, Japan at the well-known Lapis Studio in Shinjuku. Living in Tokyo allowed her to study with a variety of master dancers and teachers from the USA, Turkey, Egypt, and Europe. Ariyana began performing in 2011 at restaurants and large events in the Tokyo area. She dedicated her time and energy to learning Egyptian bellydance, taking care to learn not only the movements but the cultural aspects so closely tied to it.
She studied with her master teacher, Hadia, during weeklong intensives. She holds Hadia's Teacher's Training Level 1 certification and has completed Hadia's Professional Dancer Training. She also studied intensively with Gamal and Khaled Seif in their yearly weeklong intensive courses.
In 2014, Ariyana took on the challenge of entering the Tokyo International Bellydance Competition and took 2nd place in the Non-professional Category (dancing for less than 10 years).
Ariyana relocated to Hawaii in 2015, where she continued to learn bellydance, but in the virtual studio with Hadia, Joana Saahirah, and Faten. She performs regularly at the local favorite, Kan Zaman, in both Chinatown and Kaimuki. She is also a member of the Middle Eastern Dance Artists of Hawaii non-profit organization, and continues to promote the cultural understanding of where this dances originates.
