The Viola By: Anna Martin

My sister and I both play the viola and we both love. My sister is in college but she still plays it! Since I love it so much I wanted to learn more about the instrument and how it came to be.

People don't really know how the history viola came to be it kind of was just there one day. But one thing they know is that the viola is an instrument that has changed a lot throughout the centuries. The viola was believed to have formed out of old bow and string instrument.

The viola is my favorite instrument because it is and tenor/alto voice. An orchestra is just like a choir there is the soprano voices, the alto voices, the tenor voices and the bass voices. The violins are the sopranos. The cellos and basses would be the bass voices. And the violas would be the tenor/alto voices.
