Bell Schall, Volleyball, UNC Wilmington

1. Why did you choose UNCW?

A: The whole vibe of the campus and the team; it just felt like family there.

2. How does it feel knowing all your hard work paid off?

A: It feels really good, knowing that I started this at the age of eight, and being here now. It feels good.

3. What is your favorite memory from Apex?

A: Junior year, eating team meals at teammates’ houses on home games.

Ben Peterson, Baseball, Appalachian State

1. Why did you choose App. State?

A: The coaches really created a good atmosphere; it really feels like a family there.

2. How does it feel knowing all your hard work paid off?

A: It’s great; I get to play the sport I love for another four years.

3. What is your favorite memory from Apex?

A: Definitely the playoff run in my sophomore year.

Emily White, Gardner Webb, women's lacrosse

1. Why did you choose Gardner Webb?

A: I really love the program and the coaches; it was a good fit for education, and it is a good distance from my house.

2. How does it feel knowing all your hard work paid off?

A: It is very exciting to know that I started something, and I get to continue it in college.

3. What is your favorite memory from Apex?

A: Definitely winning conference in my sophomore year.

Genna Joyce, Pittsburgh, swimming

1. Why did you choose Pittsburgh?

A: It was very different from what I’m used to, and the coaches and the team were really nice.

2. How does it feel knowing all your hard work paid off?

A: It’s super nice knowing that I get to keep doing this in college.

3. What is your favorite memory from Apex?

A: I really liked the relays; we would have a cheer for the relays.

Macaiah Honable, volleyball, Catawba Valley Community College.

1. Why did you choose Catawba Valley?

A: I want to be a nursing major so I wanted to play for at least two more years before having to give up volleyball forever.

2. How does it feel knowing all your hard work paid off?

A: It is like a huge weight lifted off my chest.

3. What is your favorite memory from Apex?

A: Meeting some of my best friends and knowing that they are going to be with me throughout life.

Matt Ateshian, lacrosse, Mt. Olive

1. Why did you choose Mt. Olive?

A: The team, they were all really good guys.

2. How does it feel knowing all your hard work paid off?

A: Feels good, it lifted the weight off my shoulders; there's nothing left to worry about.

3. What is your favorite memory from Apex?

A: Freshman year when I scored my first goal.

Sammie Danielson, swimming, University of the Cumberlands

1. Why did you choose The University of the Cumberlands?

A: I really liked the school. It just felt like I would never get lost.

2. How does it feel knowing all your hard work paid off?

A: Really good, I have been talking to the coach since I was a sophomore, but just getting the letter was really cool.

3. What is your favorite memory from Apex?

A: The old school; when I think Apex, I think of the old school.

Sophie Anderson, Houston, Swimming

1. Why did you choose Houston?

A: I really like the atmosphere of the team, and I really liked how supportive the coaches were of their athletes. And I really like the biology program they have there that I want to go into.

2. How does it feel knowing all your hard work paid off?

A: Feels really good because this is something I thought about since I was younger.

3. What is your favorite memory from Apex?

A: Freshman year, when we won conference against Green Hope.

Zach Vigue, lacrosse, Richmond.

1. Why did you choose Richmond?

A: Beautiful campus, great coaches, and just a great atmosphere in general.

2. How does it feel knowing all your hard work paid off?

A: It feels amazing; I have been working for this since I was five years old.

3. What is your favorite memory from Apex?

A: Being named Captain last year as a junior.
