Beauty for Ashes It's about setting the women's lives free

We are on the sixth week of my Marketplace Discipleship Training School with University of the Nations in Kona, Hawaii. We had 8 different speakers visiting and teaching us on the faith-based principles and transformational business. We also visited two local coffee companies. I learned a lot about business core values, approaches and principles. The most exited part of it is studying it from a position of international context and different cultural backgrounds. This adds a lot to my existed business background back in Ukraine.

To complete this training program the outreach is required. This is an opportunity to apply all what we learned during the three month lecture phase in a real life business environment. My group will have two teams. 10 people will go to Thailand. Me, Oksana, Suyeon and Karen will go to Nepal. The project that we will work in Nepal with is called 'Beauty for Ashes' and we will stay there for 8 weeks.

'Beauty for Ashes International, Inc.' was formed in Nepal to help to break the cycle of poverty that fuels human trafficking and sexual exploitation through employment of women at risk. The mission of 'Beauty for Ashes' is to give women a choice where they’ve had no choice and make a lasting difference in their lives.

The office in Nepal is a wholesale gift items manufacturing business. They are focused on making high quality and stylish products as jewelry, bags, sari, and accessories.

Our job as a team will consist of various tasks. According to some intro information, our team will help with a conference that will take place in April covering administration and hospitality areas. During the period of staying in Nepal we plan to help 'Beauty for Ashes' with new admin/marketing projects. Other times we will be teaching and helping with social projects for women with children. We are still waiting for more instructions, but 'Beauty for Ashes' is already in my heart!

We as a team looking forward for applying what we learn here in school. Nepal is a one of the world's poorest countries and it's economy relies heavily on aid and tourism. But we really want to be a blessing for beautiful Nepali nation and especially for these women who have been hurt. With our 8 weeks staying in Nepal we want to bring not only the knowledge or skills but acceptance, relationships and hope for future. 'Beauty for Ashes' it's about setting the women's lives free. We want to be a part of it.

I would like to invite you to be a part of my journey to Nepal. You can be a part of my prayer team or support me financially.

1. We need to purchase our airfare to Nepal by this Friday, February 17th. The deposit for the outreach and the cost of the flight tickets is $2500. I am still looking for $2000 as soon as possible in order to purchase the tickets with my team at the same time.

2. The whole outreach payment is $4500, which means that I still will need another $2000 in the next two weeks to cover the final payment of my program cost.

I saw a lot of God's faithfulness and I am thankful to several people who supported me on a way to my dream for studies. So I believe that I am in a right place, in a right time and I am excited about upcoming weeks of teaching and application of my knowledge during the outreach in Nepal.
