Shortening the NBA Season How it would benefit the players

The NBA regular season and its 82 game slate is too much for the players. Why should it be reduced?

Being able to play at such a high level requires rest, and if the amount of games was reduced, more rest could take place.

Injuries in the NBA are typically associated with fatigue factors. This is a consequence of the long season because players do not receive adequate amount of rest in between games.
