Class 2

I had learnt to create a CV/resume when I was studying the Graphic Design Course. So the assignment on my resume was easy to create on InDesign. Creating a resume was amazing to work on Adobe Comp and transferring it to InDesign anywhere at anytime.

At first, I worked on designing my resume using Adobe Comp on my IPad; making a template, creating a layout, choosing colours and fonts. Then I transferred it to InDesign to build up my resume. I chose an image which was best suited for my resume and wrote all information including personal details, skills, work experience, education and referees etc.

I also learnt how to present my work on the Behance after I had Live Class 2. With the help of great teachers who thought me to understand to present my works on the Behance portfolio. In addition, the Live Class 2 helped me to build my resume. I enjoyed attending this Live Class 2 and I hope to be able to use this assignment to helps me to achieve my career in the future.

Class 3

I created my own personal branding logo when I was studying the Graphic design course. It was not easy to come up with a creative logo and it took a lot of time making a plan. So the assignment on my own personal branding logo was challenging to recreate and present on social medias and website. I hope to be able to present my own personal branding logo to help with my promotion.

The first step was to find out how I wanted to be different and what I wanted to be remembered for. I started to think of myself as a brand; creativity, aesthetic and artistic sensibility. Then I looked at a few other logos which was suitable for my own personal branding logo.

I worked on designing my logo using Adobe Draw on my iPad. Then I transferred it to Adobe Illustrator to create three different kinds of my own personal branding logo.

I also created a header for my social medias using Adobe Photoshop: Twitter, YouTube and Facebook. I chose a background image which was best suited for my own personal branding logo and I transferred my creative logo to Photoshop.

I was surprised that Simona Bunardzhieve who was a guest speaker in Live Class 3, showed us how to present her own personal branding logo. She presented her logo, image and fonts together to promote her online, social medias and her video. It was nice tidy, and organised well. I was interested in her work on her social medias and website.

Class 4

I already have Adobe Portfolio and Behance to create my portfolio . The assignment on ePortfolio, I focused on Adobe Portfolio to update my ePortfolio to improve. It was not easy to recreate my ePortfolio on Adobe Portfolio because I had recreated my own personal branding logo and chose chose a layout to fit my work.

I worked on creating a layout; clicking Edit Project Content and picking the fonts, colours and spacing of content to make it unique on my ePortfolio. Then, I clicked Preview at the bottom of the page to see how my final site would look before I published it.

I did not use video to practice in classroom activities, however, I may try to use video to work my portfolio. Also, I will try to work on Behance to update and improve my work. I hope to be able to present my ePortfolio with my promotion in the future.

Class 5

This assignment on creating an Adobe Spark Video offering formative assessment feedback on a student portfolio, was first challenging. The challenge was evaluation of their works. It also helped me to take a step further than just reflecting.

This assignment required different ways to present a feedback on student’s portfolio; creating a video on Adobe Spark. It was easy to create a video’s feedback on Adobe Spark as I enjoyed working on Spark.

I chose Tim Murphy because was congratulated on Adobe Portfolio of the month as his portfolio was clean and well organised. His presentation on his project work was modern, unique and fashionable. I enjoyed looking at his portfolio.

At first, I chose some pictures from his portfolio that was the best suited for my creating feedback’s video on Spark. Then, I wrote my comment on the creating video and played music instead of my voice-over.

I liked working on the video on Adobe Spark, however, I really did not don't like to comment other people’s work. In addition, it is not necessary to create a video assessment as well. Many people look at and write their comment at the bottom of the back page on a website or social media. Also, I am not a teacher or an educator so it was hard to give them to a feedback on their portfolio.

Overall, this assignment helped me to understand how they can make their work even better. Also, it is good for them to achieve their educational goals. I hope to be able to use the video on their social media to share their achievement with others.

Final refrection

I had learned how to further build up my portfolio during this course. In addition, I had already had my previous portfolio when I was studying the Graphic Design course. This course on Digital Me: Digital Portfolio, Assessment & Employability, was easy to learn how to update e-portfolio and profile.

This course helped me to understand how to promote my work online and in social media. It was beneficial to achieve my career as well. I had learned new technical skills; creating a video on Adobe Spark and using Adobe Portfolio. In addition, I enjoyed joining each class live.

I liked working on each assignment without the assessment strategies effective feedback on student’s portfolio. Because I am not a teacher or an educator, it was hard to give them to feedback on their portfolio.

From now on, I will be continuing to further update my portfolio and expending my profile to publish online and my social media. I hope to be able to present my work to help with my promotion.
