Who Is Patagonia?

  • Patagonia tells its customers NOT to buy its products
  • Aims to combat the growing notion of consumerism
  • A love of wild and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them
  • Mission: "Build the best product, cause no unnecessary harm, use business to inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis."

Who Is Rose Marcario?

  • Why did we choose Rose Marcario?
  • On the most recent Black Friday, the CEO made the decision to donate 100 percent of sales to environmental non profits.
  • How does a CEO maintain such environmental commitments, progressive business knowledge, and brilliant ethics?
  • "My mission is to make the most of this moment at Patagonia. I want to keep growing Patagonia to prove that my our of capitalism can work - that a company can achieve even more success when it thinks about future generations alongside current investors. I will never work anywhere else. Patagonia is my last stop." (Bradley, 2015).

  • As Christians, we must understand and be thankful for what God has blessed us with.

Biblical Integration (cont.)

  • Patagonia leaders look to often be involved within communities (Bradley, 2015)
  • Hebrews 10:24-25: "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another- and all the more as you see the Day approaching."
