The Fault in our Stars Book Review By: Bria, MMS

Have you ever thought your life was over? Then one day you met your true love and it changed your whole perspective in life.

First of all the book I’m reviewing is The Fault in our Stars by John Green. It’s about a girl named Hazel Lancaster, a girl with cancer, who wanted to be a regular girl, but she prevents her self from going outside because she feels bad for her self. So she met Augustus. Then he gave Hazel’s life a whole new meaning.

In fact my favorite part was when Augustus took Hazel out for the picnic. Hazel’s emotions were surprised and happy. My emotions when I read it was pretty much the same as Hazel’s I thought it was heartwarming and I thought it was sweet of Augustus to do. That moment mattered because it was their first date and it was a special moment for them.

In addition I thought the life lesson in this book was that you should appreciate life the way it is even with its ups and downs.

This book has many values for example they described the characters really well. How I think they described the characters well is with very detailed words, like I could see the characters in my head as they explained them. The book described every detail about Augustus when Hazel first saw him. Like how his jeans were ripped and that he had a very chiseled face.

Therefore Hazel, a girl who just lost her other half the missing piece of her puzzle, pursues strength in her life, but she’ll always remember it in her heart.
