What are pyramids?

The Ancient Egyptians are most famous for building structures known as Pyramids. This is where they buried any royalty that died. They would wrap the dead up in strips of fine linen.

Linen- cloth or material, usually made by hand.

This picture shows an imitation of how royalty would be wrapped in linen before being put in the Pyramids.

Where is Egypt?

Egypt is located in northern Africa, directly acrss from Jordan and Israel. The Nile River runs through the center of Egypt. Also, The Mediterranean Sea borders the northern side of Egypt. To the south Egypt borders Sudan, which is a large African country.
