Early Life

Ansel Adams was born on February 20, 1902 in San Francisco, California. As a child he was in an earthquake and during the aftershock he was thrown into a wall and broke his nose and his nose never set properly in place again. Adams taught himself to play the piano which then became his passion as a child after that he began learning photography he learned the darkroom technique and attended camera club meetings and went to photography and art exhibits which then led to Ansel Adams becoming a well known photographer.

Later Life

Ansel Adam's life throughout his older age he got married a woman called Virginia Best she was the daughter of Best's Studio Proprietor, Adam's photos that he had taken throughout his life have finally started to expand in fame to the point where some of his images that he had taken were put up in large galleries and museums. Around the 70's Adams main thing to do was printing negative photos in hope to put the peoples want for his photos at ease, in the mid 80's Adams had died because of a heart attack at the Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula in Monterey California at the age of 82

Why Ansel Adams is famous, and medals earned

1968- Conservation Service Award, 1980- Presidential Medal of Freedom, 1963- Sierra Club John Muir Award, and 1981 Hasselblad Award, Ansel Adams is simply famous for the fact that he was a well known photographer
