More Precious than Gold By: Margaret R. Wilder

What is more precious than Gold?

"...the genuineness of your faith, which is much more precious than gold which is perishable....". Peter 1:7

Genuine FAITH is more precious than Gold!

Hebrews 11:1

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”

Mark 10:51-52 (AMP)

And Jesus said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” The blind man said to Him, “Rabboni (my Master), let me regain my sight.” Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith [and confident trust in My power] has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and began following Jesus on the road.

Hebrews 11:3, 6

“By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
“Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and though you do not even see Him now, you believe and trust in Him and you greatly rejoice and delight with inexpressible and glorious joy.”

1 Peter 1:6-9 (AMP)

“In this you rejoice greatly, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the genuineness of your faith, which is much more precious than gold which is perishable, even though tested and purified by fire, may be found to result in [your] praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

“Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and though you do not even see Him now, you believe and trust in Him and you greatly rejoice and delight with inexpressible and glorious joy, receiving as the result [the outcome, the consummation] of your faith, the salvation of your souls.”

The lives of those who followed Jesus ministry in person and accepted Him as Savior were inexplicably changed.

Although 2000 years have passed, Jesus Christ is still a loving, faithful Savior. And though I have never met Him in person, I know Him. In times of turmoil or times of joy, His warmth and beauty has put my soul at rest. In times of crazy desperation, I have cried out to Him and He has always met me in my hour of need. Truly, he will meet with any person who seeks Him with all their heart.

Jeremiah 29:12-13

“Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
