WHERE TO STUDY
Looking for a place to study and prepare for those exams? We've got you covered!
Mary and Jeff Bell Library
The Mary and Jeff Bell Library will be open 24 hours a day Monday-Wednesday, Dec. 2 – 11, with extended hours Thursday and Friday, Dec. 12 - 13.
The Mary and Jeff Bell Library provides a Super Quiet Study Room on the building's second floor in Room 216B. This area can be used by library users looking for a noiseless environment.
Students can use the library's computer labs and private study rooms. Each floor contains white boards and smart boards, open study areas for individuals and groups, and knowledgeable staff ready to assist you with your questions. Students can visit the Circulation Desk with their SandDollar$ ID to reserve one of 15 study rooms.
Ear plugs are also available at public service locations (Ask Us, Circulation, and Media) for those desiring a little extra quiet time to study.
You can even wish your fellow Islanders luck by writing on the Board of Motivation!
GROW Grad Suite
Graduate students can take advantage of the designated quiet area in GROW's large study room at the Mary and Jeff Bell Library, Room 220. Grad students can also reserve a study room in advance. Free coffee is available, or you can bring your own K-Cup to brew! GROW will provide complimentary snacks, flavored coffees, and hot cocoa all day for graduate students as they prepare for their exams.
Need a quiet place to study that's in close proximity to Starbucks? Try the open study area located in the Faculty Center.
The University Center is a great place to grab some food to fuel you through those study sessions, as well as a place where you can purchase blue books, scantrons, and other supplies you may need for your exams. The Rotunda and Tejas Lounge make for great areas to meet with group members, classmates, or friends to get some extra study time in!
