Pop Art Tyler cole

Pop art started in the 1950s. Pop Art- modern popular culture, and the mass media, as a critical or iconic comment.
It was made for advertising and for making comics and was popular. It was made for the news and comics.
Four Famous Artist- Andy Warhol, David Hockney, Jasper Johns and Roy Litchtenstein.
Some characteristics are silkscreen, painting, photography and sculpture.
Pop is short for popular, and depicts icons of popular culture.
Why did I choose pop art? I thought it was interesting and the like how it standed out when I looked at pictures of it.
It was usually painted for morality, mythology and classic history, it's suppose to pop out at people.
