When you think of artistry and entrepreneurship, you think of Mike Caesar.
Mike Caesar is a Mississippi native but taking Hip hop by storm via Dallas, TX. What makes Caesar’s music special is his compelling message about mental illness. Mike was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the age of 9 years old and was always told that he would be an underdog because of his mental illness. But instead of letting bipolar disorder defeat him, Caesar channels his energy into his music.
I make music for the grey area people. Sometimes music today lacks relatability. Mental illness is seldom talked about in the African American community and therefore ends up being overlooked. I incorporate it in my music to at least spark conversation. I want my music to not only be heard, but makes everyone that listens feel and think something. The perfect balance is when they think and feel I like I’m talking to or for them.
Mike Caesar has worked with the likes of Curren$y, Papa Duck, DJ Michael Watts, DJ Scream, DJ Envy, Foxx, Webbie, Young Dro, Smoke D and UGK, DJ Scream, DJ Paul of 36 Mafia.
