Photosynthesis and cellular respiration encyclopedia By niki mehranpour

What is photosynthesis

  • Photosynthesis is the process in which plants absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen
  • Photosynthesis is how humans get oxegeon
  • Plants rely on humans for carbon dioxide and humans rely of plants for oxegeon
  • CO2 + H2O ---> C6 H12 O6 + O2

Cellular respiration

  • Cells producing energy with oxidation of organic compounds for the cellular process
  • C6H12O6 + 6O2 --> 6CO2 + 6H2O + energy
  • Cellular respiration connects with photosynthesis because it needs oxegeon (wich is the product of photosynthesis) and releases carbon dioxide which plants use for photosynthesis
  • Photosynthesis and cellular respiration both rely on each other to work properly

  • Light energy- how nature moves energy extremely fast
  • Water- the basic fluid of all living things
  • Carbon dioxide- a natural greenhouse gas that is breathed out by humans, takin in by plants, but mostly known as a form of pollution from burning fosesil fuels
  • Stoma- the small pores in side of the leaf or stem of a plant
  • Chloroplast- a green plant cell
  • Glucose- a simple sugar that takes place in photosynthesis
  • CO2- the chemical formula for carbon dioxide
  • H2O- the chemical formula for water
  • C6H12O6- the chemical formula for glucose
  • O2- the chemical formula for oxegeon
  • Stored energy- the amount of energy an abject has based off of its space.
