Later yesterday afternoon, we arrived in Sorrento and met up with Amy and Sam who have been travelling over the past 4 weeks through Greece and Italy. We will now spend our time in Sorrento with them before going our separate ways again.
Due to only getting a few hours of sunny weather between lots of rain, we stayed locally and hiked up behind Sorrento to get spectacular views along the coast and across to Naples during a dry break in the weather.
So we didn’t waste the day, we decided on an indoor activity and booked ourselves onto an Italian cooking class that had us thoroughly entertained and occupied for most of the afternoon and evening and as a bonus also covered off our evening meal!
Our Cheff / Cooking instructor was very enthusiastic, very skilled and very entertaining. Surprising how much we didn’t know about simple Italian cooking!
One pinch of salt for every 100g of... (Too much salt!)
Being the enterprising businessman he was, he treated us to Gelato tasting at his Gelato store across from the cooking school. Clever! He’s got our business now!
