About Us

Hi! We're Bob and Amanda, the photographers behind Open Aperture Photography. We could fill this space with accomplishments. (We're internationally published!) We could also write a bunch of random facts. (Bob loves baseball! Amanda is passionate about babywearing!)

Instead, let's talk about you. Specifically, what can we do for you?

Weddings are stressful and confusing. We're here to help you with the entire process: before, during and after your wedding. We do everything from helping lay out your wedding day timeline to recommending other fantastic vendors. I constantly tell our clients and I'll tell you too: We're here to help! What can we do for you?

What we aren't: We're not the photographers who just show up on your wedding day and ask where we're supposed to be. We're not some strangers who just keep following you around on your wedding day. We're not so one track minded that we only focus on the final product. It's about the process and experience that go into making amazing images.

By the time that wedding day arrives, our couples don't think of us as "the photographers." They know us as Bob and Amanda, which is how we like it.

We're a three person team, a rarity in wedding photography. Three people means more coverage. More coverage means that we're able to capture more moments from your beautiful wedding day and hold your hand at the same time.

Our brides know Amanda as their wedding day savior. In addition to photographing weddings, she's there to help brides with whatever problems may arise.

Freelance Photographer

We work with a group of talented, established professional photographers that we choose from as the third member of our wedding trio. This person frequently changes on a per wedding basis and brings a unique perspective from their diverse background.
