OCTOBER 3 (Day one): ARRIVAL/ MINDFULNESS COURSE
When you arrive at Hartswood Farm, a stunning countryside haven, you will be greeted with a welcome drink and the chance to get settled. Once everyone has checked in, we will be having a mindfulness course ran by Cheryl Reid from The Radical Health co. and in the evening we will enjoy a delicious dinner and get to know each other better!
OCTOBER 4 (Day two): MASTER YOUR BODY IMAGE
Today we will explore the inner workings of our mind and beliefs, looking at WHY we feel the way we do, conditioned thoughts and how to go forward in our body image journey. You’ll walk away with tools and methods to put into action, including art journaling.
WARNING: DURING “MASTER YOUR BODY IMAGE”, WE WILL BE EXPLORING YOUR PAST AND THIS MAY BRING UP SOME TRAUMATIC OR TRIGGERING SITUATIONS. IT WILL BE EMOTIONAL, HOWEVER IT’S NECESSARY FOR THESE EMOTIONS TO BE FELT… YOU WILL BE ASKED TO SHARE BUT ONLY HAVE TO SHARE WHATEVER YOU ARE COMFORTABLE WITH.
OCTOBER 5 (Day three): POOLSIDE SHOOTS/ RELAX
Day three is all about the poolside shoots and relaxation. After breakfast you’ll have time to get ready (in whatever way that is for you) before we head down to the pool for mini photoshoots and, of course, an epic group shot to remember the experience by! After lunch there will be a space available for further art journaling, to get all the emotions of the retreat out if you feel the desire to. The rest of the day is free time to do as you wish, whether that be going for a walk in the countryside, lounging by the pool, art journaling or girl chat. Followed by our evening meal and Q&A (the opportunity to discuss what we’ve learnt and ask questions)
OCTOBER 6 (Day four): RECAP & SET INTENTIONS/ DEPARTURE
A day we likely won’t want to see, time to go home! Before we do, we will take time over breakfast to recap on the experience and set intentions for the future. Working on your Body Image is a daily thing, if you walk away from the retreat and never think of it again, you’ll end up right back where you started.
THE BODY IMAGE RETREAT IS AN IN DEPTH LOOK AT WHO YOU ARE AND YOUR BELIEFS, DUE TO HOW HEAVY THE RETREAT MAY BE, WE WILL TAKE REGULAR BREAKS AND HAVE FREE TIME TO EXPLORE, SWIM, RELAX OR TALK. LET THE TACOS AND GOOD TIMES ROLL.
We will be enjoying a stay at the Ryedale hidden gem that is Hartswood Farm, situated in East Knapton, the perfect location to explore our body image. Make sure to bring swimwear!
