Amish Country Spring Ladies Tours Lancaster County & Historic Philadelphia May 13-22, 2022

Our trip begins with a flight from Edmonton International Airport to Philadelphia. Though the trip is based on double occupancy we welcome welcomes singles.

A single supplement can be added or we can introduce you to another single. A new friend with the same interests!

Upon arrival in Philadelphia, we rent vehicles and enjoy a delightful drive through the countryside to Lancaster County.

The hustle and bustle of city life is left behind upon our arrival in Lancaster County. This is as busy as it gets! Imagine this view from the hotel.

Travelling through the rolling hills of the county, allows us to take in the many delights of the Amish, from their delicious home cooked meals to the handmade treasures.

We watch “Jacob’s Choice,” an emotional, personal story of an Amish family and the resilience of Amish culture through the ages. The Amish Experience Theatre is not an IMAX nor a 3-D movie, though the theatre set consists of actual barn siding, with five multiple projection screens, theatrical lighting, custom-designed mechanical special effects, four-dimensional sound imagery, an original musical score, and unforgettable ghosting effects.

#1 of "What to do in Leola, PA" is Riehl's Quilts and Crafts. This working Amish farm features authentic Amish quilts and wares.

Our evening meal is a traditional Amish farm feast followed by a live performance of a riveting Bible story of the Old Testament. The production comes to life with magnificent sets, special effects and live animals in this brand-new, original stage production in the magnificent Sight and Sound Theatre. We will watch David.

We will visit the Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum, a living history museum interpreting the heritage and culture of the Pennsylvania German people between 1750-1940.

The museum provides demonstrations, crafts, live music and activities, as well as horse-drawn wagon rides. It’s just plain old fun.

Our route back to the hotel winds through country roads that provide us with an opportunity to search out some of the many covered bridges.

Don't worry, our ladies' trip has time allocated to explore the shops. A list of shops, with a map will be provided per each van and ample time to meander the countryside.

Hershey, PA ... the City of Chocolate. All aboard a historic trolley for a historic journey through Hershey, the town built on chocolate!

Even the light posts are chocolates!

Learn the history of Milton Hershey the sweetest way!

Our last stop in Pennsylvania is Philadelphia. The birthplace of the United States with it's historic buildings such as Independence Hall, Congress Hall, Liberty Bell, Christs Church, Elfreth's Alley to name a few of the stops of our city tour. See Benjamin Franklin Church, the oldest street in USA and enjoy their famous Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches. Truly a few days to remember and end your fantastic fall trip.
