Islam Religion Diego A.

Kaaba and Al-Masjid al-Haram, Mecca, Saudi Arabia, and Jerusalem. These are just some of the locations where Islam is an important religion. These countries are so important because thats where the religion started and still goes strong.

I have a video now of the spread of Islamic Religion through out the years https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFSin5Gctv8

What caused Islam to spread so quickly was the Muslims and in their wake Islam. It was simple enrichment of their own people. The Byzantine and Sassanid empires fell because they were exhausted of centuries of battles. ... Islam was spread as not only a religion but also as a culture, a law, a way of life.

For my next topic the people i choose who were important it the Islam religion were....

The Angel Gabriel: visited the Muhammad many times over a period of twenty-three years. Gabriel taught Muhammad the verses and he instructed his scribes to record them. All the revealed verses are compiled in the Qur'ran.

The second person is Muhammad: Muhammad was the last prophet of the religion of Islam. Muhammad shared his new revelations with only his family and close friends. Muhammad is believed to have received instructions from Allah to go public with his message and openly condemn the paganism and idolatry of Mekkah. This open condemnation of idolatry became an economic threat to the prosperity of Mekkah, and as a consequence, organized opposition to Muhammad and Islam began.

The third person is: The Prophet Isa is born in the year 0. The people have gone back to worshipping idols. His birth is a miracle, since his mother, Maryam, is still a virgin. He can talk while still a baby. Isa is commissioned as a prophet in 30 AD. He commanded by Allah to bring the people onto the right path. He asks the people to obey Allah.

Islamic Sacred Texts: The Quran and Hadith. As the third of the Abrahamic religions, Muslims respect the Old and New Testaments, and consider Jews and Christians to be “People of the Book.” But the basis of Islam is the Quran, divinely revealed to Muhammad over a period of 22 years, beginning in 610 CE.

The different sects of the religion are Sunni Muslims include 84%–90% of all Muslims. The group now known as Sunnis chose Abu Bakr, the prophet's adviser, to become the first successor, or caliph, to lead the Muslim state. Shiites favored Ali, Muhammad's cousin and son-in-law. Ali and his successors are called imams, who not only lead the Shiites but are considered to be descendants of Muhammad. Shi`ite Muslims comprise 10%–16% of all Muslims. Islams practice there faith by worshiping Allah by reciting their profession of faith, praying ritual prayers five times a day, giving a tax of alms to the poor, fasting during the month of Ramadan and making a pilgrimage to Mecca at least once in their lifetimes. These obligatory acts are known as the five pillars of Islam.

There rules really just center around praying five times a day making sure your loyal to your god, but your allowed to tolerate other religions. also fasting once every month. They practice there faith everyday often with there prayers. They normally pray in there house and sometimes in temples.
