This is the Place A review by The Genealogy Kids

We recently visited This is the Place Heritage Park in Salt Lake City, Utah. Because many of our ancestors immigrated from all over the globe and settled in this place with early pioneers, this park celebrates OUR heritage.

The park is a village of beautifully reconstructed pioneer homes, farms, and community buildings. There are beautiful monuments and memorials, and plenty of people to help recreate the pioneer experience for visitors.

Visitors can tour the buildings and get a feel for pioneer life.

On a summer day, the beautiful streams and kids splash pad are very enjoyable.

And the gold-panning activity was a highlight for the children.

We found "gold" and other cool gems/rocks in the river.

Thanks for a great historical experience, This is the Place!

And just for fun, check out this great picture of our ancestors visiting the same monument many years ago ...
