Italy the pictures behind the pictures.

I've been lucky enough to go it Italy three times this year capturing weddings. While I am there its always important to me to get out with my camera, checking out good spots for the weddings (of Course) but also for my own development.

The local people, the countryside, the obvious beautiful scenery but then also the less obvious things that make Italy such a photogenic and interesting country to visit.

Call it reportage, documentary, candid photography, this is the essence of what I do and what motivates and excites me as a photographer. Weddings are the perfect playing field for this. A grandfather quietly smiling in the corner, two close friends sharing a joke, these are real moments. And its these moments that will be as precious as a sunset cornfield shoot, or a signing the register shot.

Moments captured while on my way to this wedding.
