Message from Mr. Chiclana
Time is flying by really fast and before you know it school will be out for the summer. This means our biology students have begun to prepare for the End-Of-Course Exam while finishing up the Evolution Unit. We are more than half way through the Evolution Unit as of today. However, remember that Spring Break will interrupt our studies for an entire week. After this unit we have to complete one final one before we get to EOC time.
I am attempting to be caught up with all of the grading by the time we begin Spring Break so that you can have an understanding how your child is doing. I also want to remind you that we often use the Cornell-Note taking process since it is backed up by research as a very useful tool for student learning.
One more important note. Please support your child in creating and maintaining homework time at home. I am finding a very low number of students doing the reading, revisiting their Cornell-Notes, and other types of assignments. This ends up slowing us down and works against their grade. Information on the nightly homework can be found on the course agenda on the class website: https://sites.google.com/a/rhsfultonschools.org/biology-h116/calendar-of-assignments. Thank you for your support.
