In the other, it holds 13 arrows for a symbol of defense and war. On its chest there is a shield. On the shield it has a blue band for Congress. It has 13 white and red stripes for the thirteen colonies, once again. It has a ribbon in its beak, reading "E pluribus Unum," meaning "Out of many, one."
