My Friends are Idiots A podcast series

My Friends are Idiots is a multimedia project and series of videos hosted by a bunch of BCIT Radio students out to show the world that their friends are idiots. "Our content is 18+ cause we swear and are edgy." - Elias "Fox" Whitfield

Who we are:

Andrew Ferreira - My favourite colours are Silver, Green and Grey, I don't like long walks on the beach, and I'm looking for a nice young pupper to settle down and live out the rest of my days with. Certified procrastinator (will pick up certificate next week), dedicated esports fan, and all around human that exists. I've been watching professional League of Legends since it existed and so I feel like that makes me qualified to see whether or not my friends are idiots. My areas of expertise were not tested, however I 100% assure you that my friends would be complete idiots about professional League. Even George.

Breton Scott - My favourite colours are emerald green and yellow, I have a love/hate relationship with exercising (I love it, it hates me), and I'm a huge animal lover. Vegan, dedicated Canucks and Seahawks fan, and a true Canadian girl, who was raised in America. I was qualified to host the girl products episode of My Friends are Idiots because, well, as far as I know I am a female. I'm not an expert when it comes to using those girl products, but I'm hoping that my bad humour was distracting enough to cover up my ignorance. Super proud of the rest of the idiots for talking to me enough to be considered friends.

Elias Fox Whitfield - Hey, my name’s Elias Fox, I’m an island boy who recently moving to Vancouver to pursue my dream of being a radio personality and music journalist. I’m a mediocre guitarist who spends most of his time researching music online and listening to records. When I'm not doing that I’m probably just watching Youtube videos or Netflix. Now that I’m in Radio Arts and Entertainment at BCIT, I can do both as part of my job! Seeing as I know so many random, dumb, internet facts I have created a show where I use them to my advantage. We call it “Internet Slang”, where we take websites like Urban Dictionary, and Google Trends and use them for our amusement. I’m accompanied by the rest of the “My Friends are Idiots” crew, so join us for some… interesting times.

George Eliopoulos - My name is George Eliopoulos and I am the sports nut of the group. Sports are what I watch, talk, read, love and am pursuing as a career. I recently had my heart broken in the March Madness tournament, but it’s fine (it’s not fine). I definitely think my friends are idiots (some more than others), but, in a moment of honesty, would also admit I may be the biggest idiot of them all.

Hannah Dobie - Hey! My names Hannah Dobie. I love to eat food, especially tacos, pizza, crackers, ice cubes, sushi and soup. This podcast definitely showcases the fact that I can be clueless and I'm not afraid to ask stupid questions. My favourite colours are pink and blue. I enjoy working out (kind of) but I like food more. I like to think I'm nice sometimes and I love music! I got to host the girl products episode for My Friends Are Idiots with Breton, and I hope you enjoy it! So yeah!

This podcast was created as part of a project for our Online Design class. The project entailed us creating an online content platform and producing a handful of podcasts and shows. For our first podcast we created a game show called "Internet Slang - The Official Podcast of the Internet". The game show consists of three separate games where the "My Friends are Idiots" team try to come up with the best/funniest answers to please game-master Elias. Who will win, Team Vegans or Team Sports Ball?

For our second show we created a video to test out how well guys know weird girl products. The game show consists of eleven separate images where the "My Friends are Idiots" guys try to guess what they are, and what they are for.

This podcast was created as part of a project for our Online Design class. The project entailed us creating an online content platform and producing a handful of podcasts and shows. For the third rendition of My Friends Are Idiots, we decided to watch a sporting event and listen to each other commentate and analyze something we are clueless about! The host, George, guided the rest through as we tried to make sense of large men running and bouncing a ball.
