Nigeria is located in West Africa.

The three largest ethnic groups in Nigeria are the Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba. The other major tribes in the country include Edo, Ijaw, Kanuri, Ibibio, Ebira Nupe and Tiv.

The official language of Nigeria is English.The majority of the population of the country stays in rural areas so indigenous languages such as the Yoruba and Igbo are spoken mainly. Nigerian Pidgin English is a popular lingua-franca in the country. Lingua Franca : a language that is adopted as a common language between speakers whose native languages are different.

Nigeria has multiple religions. 50% of the population practice Islam while the rest of the population is Christians. Other small religions that are practices are Hinduism, Judaism and Chrislam which is a syncretic faith that contains elements of Christianity and Islam.

Products like leather, textiles, t-shirts, plastics & processed food help grow the economy of the country. Agriculture is also important, employing about 60% of Nigerians. Cocoa, sugar cane, yams, maize, palm oil, groundnuts, coconuts etc being their major agricultural products. Health care, education, and general living conditions in Nigeria are poor.

The Flag of Nigeria was designed in 1959. The two green stripes represent Nigeria's natural wealth and the white represents peace.

This is a nigerian food called Garri. It's roasted and pounded to form flour. It can be eaten as dough or as a snack that's served with soups. It's rare to meet a nigerian who has never eaten this meal. If you haven't eaten Garri or also known as Fufu before the day is over that means the day isn't complete.

Life expectancy is not very high in Nigeria. Those who live into their senior years are seen as having earned special rights of respect and admiration. Greeting eachother in Nigeria is by far the most important.

A handshake and a long list of well wishes for a family and good health are expected when meeting someone.

Shaking hands, eating, or passing things with the left hand is unacceptable. The left hand is used for personal "uses" like applying deodorant, hair oil, perfume etc & is considered dirty.

There's many problems with nigeria such as, corruption, poor governance, unemployment, etc.
