Tour of the Harn Museum Jessa Gant

Medium of the Art / Technique of the Artist: Black Flame; TANAKA Tomomi; stoneware. I found my self very impressed with the technique the stone was carved, and how fluid the carvings look. Despite the solidity of the material, the way it was carved made it look very fluid, like the piece was made of softly stacked sheets of fabric made to imitate fire.
Design of the Museum: Zen Garden. I love zen gardens, it was so cute. I wish the exhibit was a little bigger honestly, but it was still really nice.
Art and Core Values: The Mirror; Helen Hyde; color woodcut. An example of love, as a mother stands in front of a mirror with her happy child, holding him with care, as she herself is dressed in beauty.
Art and the Good Life: Moon Bridge at Kameido; Helen Hyde; Color woodcut. A beautiful work that shows children exploring on a bridge framed with flowers. An example of living life joyously in beauty.
