TnT Day Conestoga College - Waterloo, Ontario

On March 8, 2017, Conestoga College and its School College Work Initiative program held a Welding and Carpentry showcase. Inviting girls from various secondary schools to get dirty and learn a few tricks of the trade.

We were greeted in the morning by an inspirational opening message from Sherry Holmes (daughter of reno master Mike Holmes), before we split into two groups, Welding and Carpentry.

Marco and Marty discuss the importance of safety in the welding shop.

Sean and April have a blast demonstrating proper welding safety and technique.

Marco was gracious enough to weld us our own commemorative plate. Thanks Marco!
After a quick recap of what we learned, we jumped over to the warehouse for some carpentry action.

The final product! A big thank you to Conestoga College, the WIST program and to all parties involved in such a wonderful day.

Hopefully we'll meet again — on the job site!
