Disney Day Holiday magic - Family memories

Once upon a time there was a beautiful queen with three daughters and two granddaughters with only one wish. That wish was to spend a weekend at the happiest place on earth with her favorite girls. Not just any regular day, but during the Holiday season. These 5 women made her wish come true.

THE MAGICAL TRIP STARTED FRIDAY WITH A ROAD TRIP FULL OF SNACKS, LAUGHTER AND COFFEE. AS WE ARRIVED FRIDAY EVENING, WE WENT TO EXPLORE DOWNTOWN DISNEY. FULL OF SHOPS, RESTAURANTS AND COFFEE, IT WAS HEAVEN FOR US. THE WEATHER WAS FREEZING WITH WINDS AT 20 MPH, SO THE DOWNTOWN DISNEY ADVENTURE WAS CUT SHORT.

With Downtown Disney being too cold for my nana (grandma) my cousin and I enjoyed as much as we could.

Disney Holiday Parade

Saturday we got the day started with a viewing of Frozen Live at the Hyperion Theater, in California Adventure. Angelica and I then ran off to ride California Screaming (only the best roller coaster in the park). Of course we bought a churro to keep us energized. We then meet up at Disneyland to watch the Holiday Parade. My nana was especially excited for this. She enjoyed it so much she said:

"The parade was too short, I didn't want it to end."

It's a Small World

After the Parade it was time for Fantasy Land Rides. These are my nana's favorite, from It's a Small World to Peter Pans Flight. We got on every ride she wanted. As we boarded the boat to ride along It's a Small World her face was lighting up like the Christmas lights all around. She has been on this ride before, but for the Holidays it gets redecorated with lights and holiday themes depending on the world. As we went through you could hear her "ohh" and "aww" as the smile stayed bright on her face.

MEMORIES TO LAST A LIFETIME

Christmas Castle

To end the day we watched World of Color, had a blast on Toy Story Mania, went Under the Sea with The Little Mermaid and of course did some shopping. To say we had a good time would be an understatement. The time we spent together as just a girls trip was everything my nana wished for and more. One day in Disneyland is not enough, but we made the most of our time there for our queen. The trip was filled with fun times, laughs, food, too many churros, hot chocolate, rides, parades, shows, magic and shopping but most of all... love. The bond we made on this trip is more than just being related, it was filled with memories no one else can share but us.
