Harry Potter Wand a diy project by: Mark Dudley

Harry potter is a serious of fantasy novels written by a British author J.K. Rowling. The novels chronicle the life of a young wizard. He uses his wand to do magic with it. The wand chose him to be its wizard in the book

His wand was exactly at eleven inches. Harry wielded this wand throughout his Hogwarts career. He started doing magic with his wand at the age of thirteen. A phoenix feather is the core of his wand. The manufacturer of his wand was Garrick Ollivander.

The phoenix feather is one of three cores the Ollivander uses. A wand always choose the wizard or the witch. It is never the other way around. He bought his wand at the price of seven galleons. His wand is described as "nice and supple.

Day 1

The first part of doing a talking stick is getting the bark off. So I used the essentials my teacher taught. I used a knife to get the bark off the stick. As of getting the bark off the stick, I got the bark off with the knife.

Day 2

The second thing to a talking stick is cutting it to a certain point. I cut it to exactly eleven inches. I cut it to eleven inches because Harry Potters wand is eleven inches. I cut the stick with a saw and cut it at an angle.

Day 3

The third thing to a talking stick is cutting the wand down to size. You do this by using the box cutter knifes to slice the wood off. This narrows the wand down so it isn't so fat. You don't do it in anyone's direction.

Day 4

On day 4 I finished slicing the wood off. I again did this with a knife. I also made a handle on the end of the stick. I did this by making the end smaller and leaving the handle alone.

Day 5

On day 5 I got sand paper and sanded it. This gets the stick smooth and it evens it out more. I also carved into my stick. I carved a hp for harry potter.
