Thesis: Shakespeare influenced the world of theatre through his early, middle, and late life.

Early life of Shakespeare

Quote:

"Beginning at about the age of 7, William probably attended the Stratford grammar school with other boys of his social class. The school’s highly qualified teachers were graduates of Oxford University" (Lander).

I think Shakespeare influenced everyone about the world of history.

Middle life of Shakespeare

Shakespeare

Quote:

"In 1879, a Shakespeare Memorial was completed on the riverbank above the church. It includes a theater, a museum, and a library that contains valuable books and manuscripts having to do with Shakespeare and his life." (Mounfield)

My Ideas:

People built a memorial to remember Shakespeare.

Shakespeare 2

Quote:

"The Royal Shakespeare Company performs Shakespeare's plays there. This permanent company includes many of the United Kingdom's finest actors, actresses, and directors. A Shakespeare Center was opened in 1964 to house the Shakespeare collections and provide a meeting place for scholars." (Mounfield)

My Ideas:

Shakespeare influences scholars about literature through his life.

Shakespeare 3

Quote:

"After arriving in London, Shakespeare began an association with one of the city’s repertory theater companies. These companies consisted of a permanent cast of actors who presented a variety of plays week after week." (New Criterion)

My Ideas:

I think Shakespeare influenced the theater company and influenced people through theater companies.

Shakespeare's influence

Quote:

"The influence of the Worlde of Wordes on Shakespeare can be seen, for example, in its definition of tarabara as 'helter-skelter' (cf. 2 Henry IV V.iii.94) and of volgo as 'the many-headed monster multitude' (cf. 2 Henry IV Induction.19). While Hughes does not mention Florio by name, he unwittingly signals Shakespeare's debt when he describes the playwright's method of combining familiar and exotic words. 'The model', Hughes asserts, 'is that of the word primer, the dictionary'. In defending this claim, Hughes analyzes the opening speech of Twelfth Night:" (Early Modern Literature)

My Ideas:

Shakespeare influenced everyone about the world of literature and words.

The Early life of Shakespeare

Quote:

"In spite of the long hours he spent in school, Shakespeare’s boyhood was probably not all boring study. As a market center, Stratford was a lively town. In addition, holidays provided popular pageants and shows, including plays about the legendary outlaw Robin Hood and his merry men" (Lander)

My Ideas:

I think the pageants and shows and school inspired Shakespeare to be a poet.

The middle life of Shakespeare

Quote:

"The Lord Chamberlain's Men were one of the most popular companies in London. In large part because of Shakespeare's talents, they would go on to become the dominant company in England during the late 1500's and early 1600's." (Lander)

My Ideas:

I think Shakespeare's playwriting and poetry made The Lord Chamberlain's Men a more successful company.

William Shakespeare's middle life

Quote:

"an independent library in Washington, D.C., houses one of the world's most important collections of books by and about William Shakespeare."(Folger)

My Ideas:

People today learn about Shakespeare and read books about Shakespeare and his poems and books.
